What started as a vision, has now become a reality, and we couldn’t be more excited to officially call Forrest Street Park our soccer home. Parks and Rec Director, Daniel Carson, cut the ribbon on Wednesday, July 17th, officially opening the park to the community.
We would first like to thank the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, members of the Parks & Recreational Committee & Staff, Town of Arlington Administration Staff, and everyone involved in this project, for their service, dedication, and commitment in providing the families of our great community such a beautiful place that they will enjoy for years to come.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony last week, the Town of Arlington graciously awarded me with a “Key to the City” in recognition for the outstanding work we do with our youth soccer program. What an honor it was, to accept this Key on behalf of our soccer community.
This key doesn’t represent the accomplishments of one individual, but an entire community of people who help make this program a success. From our Rec Director Amy Paule, Coordinator Tom Hale, numerous coaches, managers, parents, referees, as well as the Town of Arlington, and the amazing Parks & Rec Staff, we thank you for your continued support, long hours, and wonderful spirit, in providing the absolute best youth soccer program in the area.
